Productivity Improvement

Organizations should constantly innovate new ways to get better results.  New ideas drive productivity improvement – improving the Production Function so that fewer inputs are needed to achieve the same process outcome.  The Productivity Improvement effort is one that should involve every community in the organization. It is also important that there are specialist communities in the organization that have Productivity Improvement as one of their core goals.  Additionally, bringing in resources from outside the organization is an effective way to bring in new ideas and techniques.  These three approaches, broad involvement, focused effort and outside resources, lead to superior knowledge sharing, creativity and technical analysis.  A steady improvement in productivity will be the result.
